I am Richard Van Hulle, the master pen-maker at Aiken Pen & Pencil.
My pens, pencils and accessories are hand-crafted one at a time. They are made from foreign and domestic woods, acrylics, bone, deer antler and captured specifics.
My family heritage is from the northern part of Belgium where many of the guilded craftsmen came from. This heritage is reflected in my creations. Each item is one of a kind. At present I have over 300 items available.
I am a retired police detective from the City of Warren, Michigan. However. Jane and I now make our residence in Aiken, South Carolina. Where we are from October through May. We spend our summer in New Cumberland, PA. Together we set up and sell at juried art and craft shows in South Carolina and Pennsylvania.
